IIA Dallas Chapter - CIA Review Course

CIA The CIA exam is scheduled for May 16 - 17, 2001. The Dallas Chapter will once again sponsor an interactive CIA review course to help prepare candidates. This four day course will be taught by Dr. Glenn Sumners, Director of the Center for Internal Auditing at LSU. Comprehensive printed study materials will be provided for the course. The course will be taught March 15 - 18, 2001 (Thursday - Sunday), 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM each day, according to the following schedule:

March 15, 2001 – Part I – Internal Audit Process
     Auditing
     Professionalism
     Fraud

March 16, 2001 – Part II – Internal Audit Skills
     Problem Solving & Evaluating Audit Evidence
     Data Gathering, Documentation & Reporting
     Sampling & Mathematics

March 17, 2001 – Part III – Management Control and Information Technology
     Management Control
     Operations Management
     Information Technology

March 18, 2001 – Part IV – The Audit Environment
     Financial Accounting
     Finance
     Managerial Accounting
     Regulatory Environment
(Please note if you are a CBA, CISA, CMA, CPA, CTA, or CTCP you are eligible to receive professional recognition credit for Part IV of the CIA Exam.)

Eight hours of continuing professional education (CPE) will be given for each full day session. The course will be taught in Meeting Room 2 of the JCPenney Park Central low-rise building near Coit Road and I-635 (12712 Park Central Drive, Dallas).

Cost for the course is $75 for each part if you a Dallas IIA Chapter member, $100 for each part for non-members and members of other chapters. Checks should be made payable to the Dallas IIA.
