2001 Member Survey

Dear Fellow Chapter Member:

The officers and the Board of Governors would like your support and ideas in planning and accomplishing our activities and programs for the coming year (June 2001 through May 2002). PLEASE take a few moments to complete and submit this survey.

Our members make our Chapter successful. Please indicate your willingness to serve your Chapter and your profession by leading or serving on a Committee. Any service you can provide, no matter how large or small will be helpful in keeping our Chapter strong and beneficial to our members. We also value your input on our programs and seminars. The success of our Chapter depends upon the active participation of each of its members. If you are willing to serve on a committee, either in a leadership role or as a team member, please note below. You may mark more than one.

Academic Relations - Establishes and maintains relationships with area universities; plans Back-to-School seminar, Student Forum, and other student related activities.

Advertising - administers advertising (primarily companies seeking employment candidates) in the Chapter Newsletter and on the Chapter Web site.

Assistant Treasurers - assists with various Treasurer duties, particularly at the registration tables at monthly meetings.

Audit - performs the required annual audit of the Chapter’s financial records; submits an annual audit report to the Board of Governors and the IIA.

Awards - assists the officers in the selection and procurement of annual awards for Chapter members.

CIA Program - organizes CIA review courses; coordinates CIA recognition activities; with guidance from the IIA, administers the twice-a-year CIA exams.

Community Service - organizes and performs an audit of a local not-for-profit organization with local university students studying internal auditing.

Directory - prepares the annual Chapter Membership Directory.

Editorial - solicits, receives, and reviews materials from Chapter members for publication by the IIA.

Education - maintains official Continuing Professional Education (CPE) records for the Chapter; administers attendee feedback (evaluation forms) at Chapter events (meetings and seminars).

Employment - maintains listings of job openings provided by employers and resumes of Chapter members seeking employment.

Historian - assists the President in maintaining and storing chapter historical records, documents, awards and recognition received, etc.

Marketing - assists other committees and officers in marketing (selling) Chapter activities - particularly seminars, CIA Review courses, etc.

Meeting Arrangements - arranges for monthly meetings (reserves facility space, arranges menus, arranges for audio/visual equipment, etc.).

Membership / Member Retention - contacts prospective members and provides information regarding the Chapter; helps new members get acquainted and sends welcome information.

Namebadges - maintains namebadges for monthly luncheon meetings; administers door prize drawings at monthly luncheon meetings.

Newsletter - gathers and organizes Newsletter materials for transmission to Webmaster; establishes Newsletter deadlines.

Pre and Post Meetings - plans and arranges for speakers for the monthly pre and post meeting; handles speaker and meeting logistics (sign-ins, speaker introductions, evaluations, etc.) at each meeting (works closely with Programs and Seminars Committees).

Programs - plans and arranges for speakers for the monthly luncheons meetings; handles speaker logistics at each meeting (works closely with Pre and Post Meetings and Seminars Committees).

Research Project - organizes and performs annual Chapter research project.
