• The Dallas IIA Membership Committee has recently launched groups with two very powerful networking tools called Facebook and LinkedIn. These tools will provide you with the means to increase your online network, communicate with other Dallas IIA members, and stay on top of current chapter events. LinkedIn is geared to professional networking; Facebook is used for both professional and social networking.

  • If you already have a profile at either one of these websites, you can join the Dallas IIA group by searching for it.

  • If you don’t have a profile but would like to set one up, visit www.linkedin.com and/or www.facebook.com and follow the instructions.

• 2009 - 2010 Member Directory is now available. To open the directory file, use the chapter level password sent to all members with an email in the directory.  Do not use your IIA password. If you did not receive the chapter password, lost or forgot it, or became a member during the year, contact the Directory Committee at directory@dallasiia.org.

• NEW! IIA Bridge Membership Program for Unemployed Members In today’s downturn economy, it is critical to stay ahead of the competition and stay current in your career. Your IIA membership affords you that opportunity. IIA members who are unemployed due to the current economic environment and are actively seeking employment may apply to The IIA Bridge Membership Program.
  
  Program components:
  One-time, one-year complimentary individual membership
  Online access only to Internal Auditor Magazine
  
  To qualify for Bridge Membership, you must be an active member of The IIA for the past two or more years and actively seeking employment. To take advantage of this opportunity, you will need to download the application form and submit a written request certifying you are unemployed and meet the qualifications of the program.

• If you would like to join The IIA, please link to http://www.theiia.org/membership/why-join/, and then, click on “join or renew” and complete the application. Enter “Dallas” in the optional field that says chapter affiliation.

• Are you already a member of the IIA, but a different chapter?  You have to contact the IIA and change your chapter affiliation. We can not access your profile. When you update your address it should put you in the Dallas database. Also, enter “Dallas” in the optional field that says chapter affiliation. Membership link is http://www.theiia.org/membership/current-members/, and then, click on “Update Your Profile” to access your account.  Also use this link to make any name, address or other data change to your information.
